A new solar roof, natural lighting, and rainwater water recycling efforts are some of the ways that Blue Pearl is pioneering the trail towards energy independence. On its one acre site in LaGrange, Illinois, the main facilty produces cut to size projects on three bridge saws and fifteen finishing tables in a new 10,000 SF indoor plant located aside a large outdoor remnant gallery, and separate showroom/office space renovated from a 1964 salvaged garage.

New Eco by Cosentino - 75% Recycled Content
Eco by Cosentino is a durable surface made of 75% post industrial or post consumer materials and is bound by an environmentally friendly resin which comes in part from corn oil. Eco by Cosentino reutilizes materials that have reached the end of their life cycle, thus saving on the creation and consumption of natural resources. Most of the raw materials used in the creation of ECO are porcelin, glass, mirror, stone scraps, crystallized ash and corn based resin.
Blue Pearl featured in Museum of Science and Industry's "Smart Home"
Blue Pearl countertops and flooring are featured in the Museum of Science and Industry's Smart Home. In cooperation with Chicago's top green interior design firm, Verde Design Studio, Blue Pearl fabricated and installed recycled and salvaged marble in the kitchen and paving for the master bath floor. The kitchen countertops are a beautiful Empire Red Rinato, a locally made recycled glass material, Leeds qualified, donated by the Terrazzo and Marble Supply Company of Wheeling. The floors of the master bath are fabricated from 1" thick Royal Danby (Vermont), marble salvaged from a Wrigley Building renovation, also Leeds qualified.
